International carrier Thai Vietjet has created a special offer where complimentary flights will be given to all medical staff who have joined in the combat against COVID-19. Under this offer, all members of the Thai COVID-19 Prevention & Control Committee and all doctors and nurses of 160 appointed hospitals for treatment of COVID-19 patients in Thailand received one-year complimentary air tickets with travel starting this June.

The complimentary tickets are applicable to all Thai Vietjet routes from Bangkok (Suvarnabhumi) to Vietnam’s Dalat, Da Nang, from Udon Thani to Ho Chi Minh city, as well as all domestic routes from Bangkok (Suvarnabhumi) to Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Phuket, Krabi, Udon Thani, Phuket – Chiang Rai, and Udon Thani – Chiang Rai and other routes extended during the year.

According to the company, this has been one of the major activities that Thai Vietjet has done in appreciation to all the heroes who have risked their lives working day and night to protect the people’s health from the pandemic.

Sayasa Benjakul, corporate affair manager, Thai Vietjet said, "Thanks to the medical force’s courage and priceless sacrifices, we are honoured to offer this thank you gift to all medical staff as a measure of our special appreciation. We look forward to serving all the heroes on Thai Vietjet's new normal flight.

Prior to this, Thai Vietjet has also shown its appreciation to customers by offering promotional tickets on all its 45 domestic routes to celebrate International Children's Day as a gift to children and their families and offered flexibility on past flight bookings to support passengers during the pandemic.
