TBWA disrupts with retail book
The case studies features ‘retail successes' from different countries - like Singapore Finland, Belgium, Germany, Japan, Mexico - covering categories such as e-commerce, real estate, mobility, mobile phone, DIY, cosmetic, FMCG and household, fashion, retail and retail banking.
"We have chosen the fiercely competitive retail category to demonstrate our way of thinking, and to inspire our audience to strive for the high ground", Perry Valkenburg, president of TBWA Europe and COO TBWA International, said.
They include Thailand's Krung Thai bank which transformed itself from a stuffy bureaucratic organisation into a youth brand, as well as Marks & Spencer due to its environmentally friendly stance which made it one of the UK's most admired green companies within a year.
According to VP of TBWA\ Europe and sponsor of the project, Nick Baum, the book and its case studies show how creativity or smart thinking can help brands to lead in competitive markets, and are even more important "in times of choice and economic activity".
