Orr hops aboard to steer TBWA-ISC
Malaysia - Jeff Orr will take over the creative reins for TBWA-ISC\Malaysia Group from Bas Moreu as its new executive creative director.
"I'm ecstatic that Jeff has chosen to join us, and he comes with impeccable credentials," said TBWA-ISC's founding president Austen Zecha, adding Orr's recruitment to the group's management committee as a significant development for the agency.
"He will be an excellent catalyst for more of the creative alchemy that we at TBWA are renowned for," Zecha said.
He added that Orr's stature as creative "guru" and experiences in Australia, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia and the region was a timely addition to the group's future growth and reputation.
Delighted to be part of the TBWA-ISC\Malaysia Group, Orr said TBWA's talent "provides the creative canvas I'm happy to add my brush to.
"Already, I see tremendous opportunity for our clients, myriad possibilities, ideas that will set the industry alight. This is what I came to TBWA to do," he said.
Orr first joined the Omnicom group as creative director with DDB in Melbourne before extending his services to its Hong Kong office and then assuming the founder and ECD for DDB Singapore.
In Malaysia, Orr played the ECD for BBDO Malaysia more than 18 years ago.
He will be joining TBWA-ISC\Malaysia's board of directors and share top management responsibilities with Managing Director Ng Chiew Ping and chief operating partner Datuk Tim Garland.
Moreu will return to his native Netherlands when his contract ends in September.
"We bid a warm adieu to Bas Moreu and his family and welcome Jeff Orr's return to the Omnicom fold", Zecha said.
