Singapore - JWT president Michael Maedel has paid tribute to the agency's outgoing global CCO, Craig Davis saying he was "sorry to see him leave" and described him as a "key player in JWT's transformation."

Maedel added, "Our successes in recent award shows, particularly Cannes, is a testament to his work and the inspiration he provided not only to his creative colleagues but to everyone at JWT." The agency won 39 Lions at Cannes this year and finished as the fourth most-awarded network at the festival.

Davis will remain at JWT until he leaves for his native Australia next year. The agency intends to fills his role and has also noted Davis's decision to leave as a personal one. News of his departure was made known last Friday following an internal email sent by the agency's worldwide CEO Bob Jeffrey to inform staffers of the decision.
