Qingdao - The future of Haier's agency roster for its Olympic marketing is uncertain following the departure of Larry Rinaldi as chief brand officer.
Rinaldi joined the Whitegoods manufacturer just five months ago. Around four weeks ago, Haier signed contracts with a numher of agencies for its Olympic work, including Initiative Media, DDB, STAR Group and Burson-Marsteller.
Haier spokeswoman Han Xiao Hua said Initiative's contract was secure, but negotiations were still in process with other agencies, such as DDB, STAR Group and Burson-Marsteller.
She said the agencies would be picked on business necessity. She added that Rinaldi's team of 200 members will share his jobs until a replacement is found.
