MEC chief returns to broadcasting
Singapore - Outgoing Mediaedge:cia Singapore managing director Lim Yew Nee is being reunited with his previous direct report at MTV, Toby Hayward, who is now at CNBC. Lim joins the news network on May 5.
Lim's job title at CNBC will be advertising sales director for Southeast Asia and amongst other things, he will be tasked to develop strategies to provide integrated solutions to clients, handle programme sponsorships, manage on-ground events, engage mobile platforms and oversee the network's research function.
He departed his role as senior VP for ad sales operations at MTV Asia in 2006 and officially started with MEC in January 2007. Lim also has prior experience in ad sales at MediaCorp's 8 Days and Time magazine.
Marketing reported the news of his MEC departure on 1 April 2008.
