Arc Malaysia fourth for DM, by The Big Won
Malaysia - The Big Won Report has ranked Arc Worldwide Malaysia fourth best DM agency in the world and number one in Asia, while OgilvyOne Malaysia was ranked sixth in the world.
The two are the only Asian agencies to make it into the global top 10 list. Shackleton (Madrid), AIM Proximity (New Zealand) and M&C Saatchi (Australia) grabbed the choice three spots for top direct marketing agencies.
Arc Worldwide Kuala Lumpur was also awarded 7th place in the ‘top direct marketing campaigns' list for ‘The Greatest Show on Earth' campaign. AIM Proximity (New Zealand) grabbed first place for ‘Body Parts', Leo Burnett (Sydney) won second for ‘Earth Hour', and Ogilvy (London) picked up third for ‘Smoke is Poison'.
"To be recognised amongst the top agencies locally, regionally as well as internationally, is a strong testament to the agency's commitment, teamwork, and Arc's business model for inspired marketing solutions through the fusion of creativity and accountability," Tan Kien Eng, MD of Leo Burnett & Arc Worldwide Malaysia, said.
Arc's ‘The Greatest Show On Earth' was an entries pack for the Direct Marketing Association of Malaysia (DMAM) awards shaped as a circus caravan complete with miniature plastic animals and ringmaster's whip to evoke childlike excitement, and was targeted at other DM agencies.
"The pack generated 196 entries from a country with less than 15 DM and interactive agencies. This was a huge achievement, considering DM award shows in more developed countries like Singapore, Hong Kong and Thailand normally attract an average of only 100 entries," an Arc spokesperson said in a statement.
A below-the-line cousin to the above-the-line's Gunn Report, the Won Report is an analysis of the world's best DM, as measured by the quantity and the quality of awards won.
