Singapore - Pro-family non-profit organisation I Love Children launched its first nationwide six-week campaign culminating in 100 couples, including members of parliament, celebrities and Team Singapore athletes, kissing before the movie screening of romantic comedy 27 Dresses.

Aided by The Advocate Group, the campaign named ‘Parenting RAWKS!' targeted Singaporeans aged 20 to 39 years old. Supported by the National Family Council and Singapore Totalisator Board, its aim was to remind local parents that children do not signal the end of romance and also to convey the message that parenthood can be made easier with readily accessible knowledge and skills needed for family living and financial management.

"It has been a fun and educational ride. Parents learn to rock climb with their kids, get tips on financial planning and preparing their child for university, and discover exciting ways to bond with the family," Joni Ong, president of I Love Children, said.

Launched 15 December 2007, the campaign reached out to more than 5000 couples through its seminars and activities.
