NOL ships in CommsDNA
Singapore - Neptune Orient Lines (NOL), a Singapore-based global container shipping and logistics group, has launched a major CSR initiative through Communications DNA after appointing the PR shop recently.
The agency managed the PR effort - a $1 million donation from the Neptune Beyond Boundaries Trust (NBBT) to ten Singapore charities to assist the youth, elderly and disadvantaged. Each charity received $100,000 during a presentation ceremony graced by Teo Ser Luck, parliament secretary for Ministry of Community Development, Youth and Sports.
The company's global CSR programmes also extend to recent altruistic initiatives such as its support for the Helmets for Kids charity in Vietnam and the Habitat for Humanity in the United States. Cheng Wai Kung, chairman of NOL and the NBBT, also wishes to encourage more employees to be more involved in volunteering.
