NUS and PMO look for agencies

National University of Singapore has called a pitch looking for print and online advertising for its Asia Pacific Executive MBA Programs 2012. The tender closes on 20 June. In another tender, Prime Minister's Office-Corrupt Practices Investigation Bureau is looking for an agency to handle its cinema/theatre advertising.

SPH kicks off online revamp

Singapore Press Holdings has released its improved online offerings to the market, beginning with a revamped job vertical. Previously known as ST701Jobs, the portal is now known as STJobs. Its new domain name www.STJobs.sg, can also be reached via iPhone, iPad and Android smartphones. Coming up next will be a property vertical, followed in rapid succession by a general classified portal and a vertical for vehicles.

SPOC appoints WOM

SPOC Solutions, the integrated Marketing Service agency behind the Singapore Food Festival (SFF) since 2009, has appointed Word of Mouth Communications (WOM) as its PR agency. Held 13-22 July 2012, this year's theme is entitled Seafood Tales of Temasek, which will focus on the flavours of the sea and the myriad of culinary styles each ethnic group uses to prepare the dishes. WOM is tasked to garner publicity across all local media platforms including print, online and broadcast, as well as coordinating a press conference and key SFF events for Singapore media, including the SFF opening ceremony on 13 Jul 2012 and closing event on 22 Jul 2012.

A hearty breakfast

World Change Agents from Blessings in a Bag, a non-profit charity project and volunteers from the Singapore Kindness Movement (SKM) will distribute morning snacks in various parts of Singapore in an ambitious project titled ‘One Week of Awesome'. From 18-22 June, more than 50 volunteers will be at Raffles Place, Dhoby Ghaut and Mandarin Gallery giving out Boncafe coffee, Mr Bean vouchers, Pokka drinks and cupcakes, among other treats. The campaign aims to bring an act of kindness to life each and every day of one week. The activation will be carried out by youth volunteers to inspire their peers to be kinder and more gracious to one another.
