Batey CD feels itch to switch to China
When Marketing questioned Rosenthal on whether the move was down to extending his working relationship with Ng, he said "not really" and that he had been talking to other agencies around town but the opportunity to work in China had proved to be a factor.
"Well it's probably down to the seven year itch, after seven years you either stay in Singapore or you go. I've been here for eight years and so me leaving has nothing to do with Batey. It would be good for me stay here (Batey), especially since I've been wanting to work with Rob (Gaxiola) for some time but I have to take this opportunity," he said.
As reported by Marketing, Ng's replacement at Batey will be Bates Asia ECD, Robert Gaxiola. Rosenthal's role at Lowe China will be CD for China, based in Shanghai as well as overseeing Beijing and Hong Kong. He joined Batey in mid-January from McCann Erickson at the time of the Singapore Airlines pitch and shortly after Ng also made the switch from McCanns to Batey.
