CNBC announces NZ expansion
"CNBC has expanded aggressively in the Asia Pacific this year, growing our distribution numbers by more than 25%, and we are delighted to welcome Sky New Zealand into our global footprint," Jeremy Pink, president and MD for CNBC Asia Pacific said in a statement.
CNBC will be commemorating this expansion by broadcasting its signature show Squawk Box, live from Auckland and Wellington for the entire week starting 15 October 2007. Squawk on the Road - New Zealand is sponsored by the New Zealand Trade and Enterprise.
"We take our business seriously because there is nothing more important than getting it right when people's money is on the line. 60% of CNBC's viewers act on the accurate and unbiased information they get from us so we are sure that Squawk on the Road - New Zealand will resonate with the business and investing communities, both in New Zealand, and also around in the region," John Casey, director of News and Programming for CNBC Asia Pacific said.
