QUAKER   BBDO   TVC

Hong Kong – Quaker has taken a romantic move in its latest TVC “Heart Complaint”, with an aim to aspire young consumers to make healthier food choices.

The TVC sought to remind people that they need constant care to maintain a healthy heart, like the way they nurture a relationship with loved ones.

It featured a young man running hot and cold for a mysterious lover, who later in the TVC was revealed to be the man’s heart.

The campaign strives to create a personal, reflective and emotional experience, said a spokesperson of Quaker, giving a heart a voice on the importance of maintaining a healthy diet.

BBDO, the agency behind the campaign, said the goal is to nourish Quaker's brand image and tap into the youth market.

Vivian Fung, creative partner of BBDO said the heart is a vital piece that one cannot survive without.

“The advertisement encourages audience to start a healthy daily Quaker diet to keep a strong continuous relationship going,” Fung said.

The 30-second TVC runs until mid-May, while a 60-second director’s cut version is available online.

Maxus supported media buying of the campaign.
