Chatime offers loyalty card

Malaysia - BCARD has teamed up with Chatime Malaysia to offer the Thirstea Card, its very own reward programme.

The Thirstea Card allows members to collect points and enjoy special privileges in store including birthday rewards, ‘members-only' promotions, Chatime event and launch invites and up-to-date information on Chatime's activities. Exisiting BCARD members, however, will be able to collect BPoints at all 50 Chatime outlets nationwide.

Bryan Loo, managing director of Chatime Malaysia, said, "Through the card, we will be able to gain more insight into our customers' interests and behaviour, allowing us to tailor-make activities and initiatives especially for our Thristea card members. We can craft relevant messages and focus our messages on our target group of customers."

In getting the word out to fans, Chatime will engage via print ads, social media, broadcast through stores and e-mail blasts.

Being heavy on social media, Chatime has gained 50,000 fans in over a year and hopes to achieve 60,000 fans in the next two weeks following the loyalty card launch.

A series of limited-edition membership cards designed by local artists will be given with the first series of the Thirstea Card designed by local artist Driv.

BCARD believes in creating opportunities to strengthen customer loyalty, and we always strive to sign up new and exciting merchant partners that will appeal to BCARD members."

Upon signing up for the card for a fee of RM10, new members will receive a free drink worth RM5.90 and a complimentary BCARD Super Deals Gift Pack of vouchers worth over RM1,300, while stocks last.

As one of the biggest international bubble tea brands in Malaysia, Chatime sells a million cups a month and has 50 outlets in strategic locations in the country with plans to open 100 stores in the next two years.
