Eaton Smart gets marketing director

HOTEL   PEOPLE   APPOINTMENT

Hong Kong - Eaton Smart has appointed Gary Ma as its sales and marketing director as the hotel strengthens its brand positioning in the local market.

In his new role, Ma is charged with managing the sales and marketing team at Eaton
Smart in the areas of marketing communications, sales, MICE, revenue management, E-business and reservations, working closely with Shane Pateman, general manager of Eaton Smart.

In addition he will also supervise three Eaton House serviced apartments, working closely with Langham Hotels Group’s overseas sales offices to secure and leverage global partnerships.

Prior to this appointment, Ma was the director of sales and marketing for the 5-star Caravelle Hotel, Ho Chi Minh City.

With more than 15 years experience, he has in the past done stints at InterContinental Hotels Group, InterContinental Grand Standford and Crowne Plaza Beijing.
