Swift hires Upstream for regional push

Hong Kong - Upstream Marketing & Communications has been appointed by UK investment group Swift as its regional agency to manage PR, marketing and corporate communications across seven Asian countries.

The appointment is part of a greater Asian focus for Swift, the Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication, which has traditionally focused on the US and European markets.

Upstream will have a key focus on Hong Kong, China, Taiwan, Korea, Japan, Australia and Singapore.

Upstream will provide Swift with regional and local media relations, press activities in line with Swift Business Forums, and various internal and external corporate initiatives.

The agency won the contract after a tender between 12 agencies.
