Y&R Singapore names chief client officers

Y&R Singapore has restructured its client support team with the appointment of Melvin Kuek as a chief client officer also promoting Alicia Carey to the same role. Both Kuek and Carey will oversee service delivery to Y&R Singapore clients which include LG, M1, Bank of Singapore and Cerebos. Kuek joins Y&R from The Gate Worldwide where he was general manager, leading new business and client development opportunities. Carey has been with Y&R Singapore for two years as regional business lead, APAC for LG, and also recently took on additional client responsibilities. 

NTUC Club chooses Citrus PR

Following a multiple agency pitch process, NTUC Club has retained Citrus PR to manage all public relations activities for U Run 2012 slated to take place on 26 February 2012. Citrus PR will oversee all pre-media and event day publicity. U Run 2012 features three categories: 10KM Competitive Run, 5KM Fun Run and the 10KM Vertical Climb - the OMB Challenge - a unique category where participants will complete a course totaling 10KM and then a stair climb up the NTUC Centre at One Marina Boulevard. 

Nex Mall appoints The Alchemy Partnership

Nex mall has appointed The Alchemy Partnership as its creative agency after a competitive pitch involving several agencies. Doreen Yeo, marcom manager of nex said the goal is to set nex apart from other suburban malls through unique advertising campaigns. The Agency's task is to give the mall a crisp identity in its marketing communications and keep the people coming.

Weber wins PR duties for Ekaterinburg 2020

Ekaterinburg 2020, Russia's Bid Committee for the 2020 World Expo, has appointed Weber Shandwick to support its global public relations campaign. The Russian city of Ekaterinburg will be competing alongside Ayutthaya (Thailand), Dubai (UAE), Izmir (Turkey) and Sao Paolo (Brazil) for the right to host the World Expo in 2020. Weber Shandwick has been a global public relations agency of record for the Sochi 2014 successful Olympic Winter bid, having led the international PR campaign for the bid on five continents during a 16-month campaign. The agency continues to be the global PR agency for the Sochi 2014 Organising Committee.
