Who was the client?
Absolute Yoga Singapore, a boutique hot yoga studio.
What was the brief?
Absolute Yoga was opening its flagship studio in Singapore and wanted to showcase its new facilities and promote the benefits of Hot Yoga.
What was memorable?
A male magazine editor signed up asa student with Absolute Yoga after his first ‘hot' experience.
How did you pull off the event/process?
We invited the media to ‘heat things up' and invited them down to experience hot yoga in a room heated at 38 degrees.
Who was there?
Many of the lifestyle media from both dailies and monthlies attended including the editors of FHM and IS Magazine.
How did you create the buzz?
The teachers did a yoga demonstration and we showcased the studio's spa like facilities and beautifully designed locker rooms.
What feedback did you get?
The client was pleased with the media coverage that followed our event and has now decided to sign up with us as a retainer client.
What were the results?
We even had AXN's Sony Style come down to the new studio in addition to coverage in dailies and magazines.
What were the clients' success metrics?
The media coverage, positive feedback from current students, and most importantly membership sign-ups at the new studio.
Is there anything you could have done better?
I would have loved to get a team of rugby players to join us for a session of Hot Yoga. That would have blown away all pre-conceptions of Yoga being a gentle sport, yet manage to show that anyone can do Hot Yoga.
