Newsweek promotes Murphy to global role

Global - Newsweek has promoted Rhona Murphy (pictured) to global publisher, overseeing publishing operations across Asia, the US, Europe and Latin America. 

Murphy will also continue to be responsible for all other aspects of Newsweek's business interests outside the United States, including circulation and licensing.

Murphy has been publisher and managing director of Newsweek International since 2008, first joining Newsweek as an associate publisher and director of international sales in 2002. 

Prior to that, she was at the Dow Jones Company, where she worked for them in Singapore as the managing director for Southeast Asian sales and then as the managing director for North American sales for Dow Jones International in New York. She started her career at the The Times of London in 1988.
