Singapore - Asia Pacific Breweries (APB) has launched Tiger FC, a new football marketing initiative for Tiger Beer, in addition to offering a $1 million prize to the winner of its $3 million Tiger FC Million Dollar Signing (MDS) initiative -- where fans attempt to score in an unguarded goal from 30 metres. Tiger FC celebrates the idea of ‘fan-ship’ and friendship,” said Lester Tan, Assistant General Manager for Marketing, APB in a statement. “The MDS contest is designed to bring you and your buddies together for a unique football experience by accumulating scratch cards, bottle crowners or ring tabs -- to redeem for an attempt to score a goal -- as well as cheer each other on.” Football fan club Tiger FC is aimed at building a community of football lovers through watching ‘live’ football matches and enjoying other football-related activities throughout the year. Club members may attend large football screening events such as ‘Rip n Roar’ and win tickets to watch English Premiere League and Champions League matches through Tiger beer’s sponsorship of the Arsenal football club.  In line with the MDS promotion, consumers will get a scratch card with either a ‘kick’ or ‘ball’ logo for every purchase of a jug of Tiger Beer from May 2, which they may redeem for free kicks or Tiger FC jerseys. Tiger Beer will also be launching special three and seven can beer packs early May -- the number seven was chosen because the top seven scorers at the MDS Trials would enter the playoffs for the million dollar prize.
