MEC retains IKEA China

Shanghai - Mediaedge:cia has retained media planning and buying duties for Swedish furniture giant IKEA China, extending a global relationship that first started in 2005.
Tommy Au, appointed general manager of MEC Shanghai on 14 January, said the reappointment comes after a more than six month pitch process.
He said the agency was retained for its integrated communications solutions and superior media pricing.
“We are pleased to be able to continue our relationship with one of the most respected global brands and we're looking forward to bring to market some of the innovative ideas we presented in the pitch," he said.
