Singapore - Mobile advertising platform AdMob has forayed into Asia Pacific with regional headquarters in Singapore.
Headed by Jeff Merkel, vice president and managing director, Asia Pacific and Latin America, AdMob will support advertisers, agencies, publishers and mobile developers to connect with the consumers accessing web sites and applications on their mobile phones.
"By opening an office in Singapore, AdMob will be able to work closely with customers throughout the region to break down the barriers to doing business on mobile. Our goal is to make mobile work for advertisers who want to engage with a targeted audience of consumers and for mobile publishers who need to effectively monetize their business," Merkel said.
AdMob boasts of a network of more than 15,000 mobile sites and applications and localised sites for English, Bahasa or Chinese to deliver functionality, detailed targeting options, scalable ad units and self-serve capabilities advertisers need.
Some of its clients include Adidas, CBS News, Comedy Central, Gap, Lonely Planet, MovieTickets.com, MySpace, P&G, Tapulous, and Universal Pictures.
