Singaporean creativity gets web boost
- MICA appoints Catapult Advertising
- Launches web portal
- Aims to enhance local creativity
Singapore - Catapult Advertising has developed the new portal goodeyedeer.com.sg (GED), which is aimed at creating a vibrant local arts scene and is supported by the Ministry of Information, Communications and the Arts (MICA).
The portal features spaces for exchange and development of creative ideas which will eventually be published and produced.
The first in a series of competition is to design a Singapore themed T-shirt, starting in early November, which will culminate in a charity event. The winning designs will subsequently be sold through retail partners and an online store.
Catapult came up with the idea for the portal which is funded by MICA.
"As an advertising agency that has worked with and is in contact with so many talented designers in the industry, Catapult Advertising is in a privileged position. So we decided to galvanise these local talents through GED and give them the opportunity to see their creativity come to life as well as contribute to putting Singapore alongside the other design heavyweights of the world's creative stage" Serene Tan, project director of GED, said in a statement.
