Global - Kym Niblock has resigned as managing director at BBC.com, with Executive vice president of BBC's digital media business Luke Bradley-Jones (pictured) taking on her role.

As executive vice president and MD for BBC.com, Brandley-Jones will oversee the strategic direction and management of the BBC.com and work on the site's first localised edition for the US next year.

Having led its digital ventures in the US for the past two years, Brandley-Jones is a natural candidate to take over the reins at BBC.com, said David Moody, BBC Worldwide's director of strategy & managing director of digital media.

Brandley-Jones set up BBC Worldwide's US digital business in 2007 in the New York office.

During that time he launched the US version of BBC TV series topgear.com and revamp of bbcamerica.com. In addition he oversaw BBC Worldwide America's online, mobile, and cable VOD business, including deals with Apple, X-Box, and Yahoo.

BBC.com, the commercial arm for BBC sites outside the UK, has secured more than 400 advertisers in the eighteen months since its commercial launch.

"I'm looking forward to building on this success as we look to introduce significant new products and services for international audiences and advertisers in the next year," Brandley-Jones said.
