TSA secures Ligue 1 across SE Asia

- TSA secures French Football Ligue 1 media rights for Malaysia
- Deal includes other SE Asia markets
- Deal starts in 2009/10 season and is for four years
Regional - Canal+ Events has handed Total Sport Asia the exclusive media rights for the French Football Ligue 1 for distribution into selected SE Asian markets including Malaysia.
The deal runs from the 2009/10 season for four years, and includes Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Timor Leste, The Philippines, Brunei, Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam.
"Canal+ Events is pleased to develop distribution of the French League with TSA in South East Asia; Asia is part of the worldwide strategy to strengthen the international exposure of Ligue 1 by securing broadcast partners," Pierre Lelong, media director for Canal+ Events said.
Ligue 1 rights for the Korea market are currently handled by MP & Silva.
