Wang heads up ad sales at CNBC China
Shanghai - CNBC has hired Jane Wang (pictured) as vice president of ad sales, China to replace Vincent Yu, tasked to oversee the broadcaster's ad sales and marketing operation for China.
Based in Shanghai, Wang will work with the Shanghai Media Group on marketing CNBC related programmes on China Business News as well as promoting CNBC Global to China based clients.
She reports directly to Toby Hayward, senior vice president, ad sales for CNBC Asia Pacific.
"Given her vast experience, her impressive track record and credentials, we look forward to the continuous growth of the network's sales revenue within the region and globally," Hayward said.
Prior to CNBC, Wang was vice president of sponsorship & ad sales and general manager for Viacom Asia in Shanghai, MTV networks. She oversaw the sales and client services team and led new developments to boost revenue growth in that capacity. Before that, she was managing director for English First in Beijing.
