Senior executive Aw departs SPH
- VP of customer services Aw departs
- Customer service aligned with marketing function
- Geoff Tan to head up both portfolios
Singapore - Wendy Aw, the vice president of customer services at Singapore Press Holdings (SPH), is set to leave the company at the end of the month.
Aw is previously a director of SPH Magazines and one of the company's top advertising sales people. Aw told Marketing that she was leaving her role due to personal reasons, but declined to comment further.
SPH has further aligned its marketing department with its customer service portfolio, and appointed strategic marketing head Geoff Tan to oversee the customer service team. Tan Ooi Boon will relinquish his current role as weekend editor of The New Paper and take care of the day-to-day operations of the customer service department, and also contribute to SPH's strategic marketing effort.
Leslie Fong, senior executive vice president of SPH's marketing division, said: “It makes a lot of sense to have Geoff Tan lead both strategic marketing and customer service and drive both towards the common objective of delivering to our customers what they need - in a well-coordinated, efficient and effective manner. This is all part of the integrated, cross-media solution which SPH promises its partners and customers.”
