MEC set to lose managing director

• MEC managing director Manjiri Kamat leaving
• Expected to take on a senior role at MEC India in May
• GroupM CEO Paul Corrigan steps in as acting MD

Malaysia – Mediaedge:cia (MEC) MD, Manjiri Kamat will not renew her three year contract with the agency when it expires and is expected to take on a senior role at MEC India in early May.

Kamat says she is leaving for personal reasons while GroupM CEO Paul Corrigan steps in as acting managing director until a replacement is found.

Over the years, Kamat has dealt with a vast client repertoire including Colgate, Sony Electronics, Sony Ericsson and De Beers.
