Singapore - MediaCorp-owned newspaper Today has launched a news application called iToday for Google and HTC's Android powered mobile phone.
Google and mobile phone maker HTC have combined with SingTel to launch the phone in Singapore and it comes with access to a mobile application store called Android Market - which includes iToday. It is not yet known whether the phone will become available for sale MobileOne or StarHub.
"We are very pleased to be able to provide our readers more avenues to read news on the go," Philip Koh, MediaCorp's managing director.
"This initiative with SingTel to be the first news application for the first android-powered phone in Singapore is just one of the many ways we will bring news closer to you."
