Grey makes room at the top
Malaysia – Grey Group Kuala Lumpur has promoted and rewarded three of its top performers to head its specialist divisions.
Kenny Loh, who was G2 Kuala Lumpur client service director, will take on the general manager position of the activation agency, heading the department of 30 people.
Loh began his advertising career with McCann Erickson New Zealand and contributed to the formation of McCann’s World Group’s Momentum and has handled accounts like BAT, Nestle, MasterCard International, Sara Lee and GlaxoSmithKline.
Samuel Chan of G2 Direct Interactive has also been promoted to become general manager of the team, after seven years of service. Chan first joined as an account manager in 2002 when the agency was known as Grey Direct Interactive and within six years, took the business head position.
He was responsible for planning and implementation of B2B and consumer marketing successes for clients like Tiger beer’s Tiger FC besides leading the team to handle several major brands including AXA, Shell Malaysia, Alliance Bank and Ayamas.
Raymond Siva will head GCI Worldwide – the group’s public relations division – as its general manager, with over 13 years of experience in journalism and communications.
Before GCI, Raymond was head of group corporate communications at OSK Investment Bank and he currently leads the GCI team for clients like Citibank, FedEx, developer BRDB, Biotropics Malaysia, Procter & Gamble, Guinness and ESPN Star Sports.
Grey Group Kuala Lumpur CEO Nicky Lim said: “Each department played key roles in delivering the company’s exceptional performance last year. I am sure the newly-appointed general managers will lead the business to greater heights this year through our potent platform of ideation, integration and mentoring.”
