MTV restructures leadership
Suharjono is replacing Jain in the EVP and MD position, which covers Southeast Asia and Greater China. Jain, who joined MTV Networks in 2005, has played a key role in the expansion of parent company Viacom in India and other key markets across Asia.
Suharjono was most recently senior vice present and MD for Nickelodeon and Viacom Consumer Products. In her new role she will manage the day to day operations for MTV Networks as well as identify new business opportunities.
"Indra's years of experience and intricate knowledge of the pan-Asia market has been a tremendous asset in growing MTVNI's consumer products business, which under her leadership has posted triple digit growth. The relationships that Indra and her team have built in Asia are integral to the continued growth of MTVNI's portfolio of brands in the region as we look to significantly expand our licensing, channel and digital businesses," Bob Bakish, MTV Networks International president, said in a statement.
