Hong Kong Productivity Council (HKPC) has unveiled its latest micro film, which aims to highlight the importance of innovation and technology in empowering people, fostering sustainable growth and promoting societal wellbeing.

With the theme "Innovation Reshapes Everything", this captivating micro film takes viewers on an exploratory journey of a young girl who embodies an entrepreneurial spirit and innate creativity, to which she ultimately transformed her family's business through innovation and technology, proudly upholding the legacy of "Made in Hong Kong."

Behind this impactful micro film is a creative team, led by veteran director David Tsui, with whom HKPC has partnered for the second time. Their collaboration last year garnered industry recognition and prestigious accolades, such as the Kam Fan Awards, HKIM Market Leadership Award and MARKETING-INTERACTIVE's DigiZ Awards.

Adding depth and emotional resonance to the storytelling are the exceptional performances by two gifted child actors, Phoebe Cheng and Sean Wong. Notably, Sean Wong has received resounding praise for his role in the movie "Time Still Turns The Pages".

This year's HKPC micro film continues to capture the essence portrayed in last year's film, "Innovation Never Stops". Both films beautifully depict heart-warming stories that showcase the younger generation's immense potential in turning challenges into opportunities.

In the last film, a young boy, after accidentally breaking his father's new speaker, unleashes his creativity to transform an herbal pot into a functional speaker. Both films vividly illustrate the indomitable spirit of Hong Kong, where the younger generation fearlessly brings their creative visions to life amidst challenges and difficulties, embodying the ever-evolving spirit of the city.

The four-minute and 90-second version of this micro film can be seen on various platforms including television channels and social media.

“Our micro film is inspired by the numerous successful stories of local traditional industries HKPC has worked with and realised their innovation and transformation. We hope that the audience, after watching the film, will embrace innovation and creativity from the younger generation, thereby contributing to the sustainable growth of local industries and the well-being of families,” said Karen Fung, chief marketing officer of HKPC.

“Building upon the momentum of our ‘Hong Kong Got Industries’ campaign earlier this year, this micro film invites audience to once again appreciate and support the spirit behind made in Hong Kong,” Fung added.
